How to choose the right Venetian plaster for your home

10 June 2026

Venetian plaster is not one product but a family of finishes. The first decision is gloss: burnished Marmorino reflects light and enlarges small rooms, while matt versions give a soft mineral calm.

The second is grain. Fine grains produce tight, elegant clouding; coarse grains show honest material texture that hides wall imperfections better.

Finally, colour depth. Light tones show the chiaroscuro movement more delicately; deep tones — greens, terracottas, night blues — turn the wall itself into furniture. Bring a fabric or stone sample from your room and we will tint a physical sample board before you commit.
