Most facade failures we are called to repair share the same story: a budget paint applied over an unprimed, salty substrate. The sun does the rest.
A facade system that lasts starts below the colour: alkali-resistant primer, crack-bridging intermediate, then a 100% acrylic or silicone-resin top coat. Silicone resins are our recommendation near the coast — they repel rain while letting trapped humidity escape, so the film never blisters.
Expect a properly built system to keep its colour for ten years or more — and always insist on a written workmanship warranty.
